Diane has been starring as "A.D.A Casey Novak" on NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit" since early 2004. Prior to joining the cast, Neal attended the prestigious Atlantic Theater Company Acting School in Manhattan. Demonstrating her great range she soon was on the top of every casting director’s list. The young actress has done everything from comedy to action and drama in both television and film. Audiences and producers started noticing Neal for her roles as a rock & roll star on “Ed”, a smart-ass nemesis on “The American Embassy,” an outlandish fiancée on the Dennis Leary comedy pilot “Adam and Lenny” and, most recently, as the conflicted cop of tomorrow in Joel Silver’s pilot “Future Tense.” Her film credits include the starring role in Dimension cult films’ “Dracula: Legacy,” and its sequel “Dracula: Ascension with Jason Scott Lee.” Currently, her film “Second Born,” directed by Jevon Roush is making the indie festival tour. Neal has been fortunate enough to live and work in numerous countries around the world, from Taiwan to Egypt. Traveling, foreign languages and ancient history are some of her favorite pastimes. Having grown up in Colorado, she also adores skiing, hiking and camping. She is also devoted to working with charitable organizations that help promote better living standards and health care for children and their families around the world. Diane Neal was born on November 17, 1975, in Alexandria, Virginia. Neal moved to Colorado as a child when her father, a federal attorney, transferred to Denver. Although a pre-med major, Neal soon left school to pursue several interesting modeling opportunities that arose which allowed her to travel the world appearing in commercials for Lexus, Sony, Dove and Miller Lite to name just a few. Soon her modeling career led her to New York City where she decided to plant roots and began studying acting at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School. Neal has since guest starred on several prominent series including, "Hack", NBC's "ED" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", as well as roles on the daytime dramas "As the World Turns" and "All My Children."
